Hida Takayama is famous for its well preserved Edo period town which has earned it the nickname “Little Kyoto”. Join us on this fascinating tour which highlights some of the must see attractions and places in Hida Takayama.

On this tour we will visit Kokubunji Temple on the way to the famous Miyagawa Morning Market, Marvel at Japan’s most beautiful festival floats at the Takayama Festival Float Exhibition Hall, Enjoy lunch at one of Takayama’s many gourmet restaurants, Visit the old part of town called ‘Sanmachi Suji’ lined with merchant houses, shops selling traditional crafts, cafes, restaurants and sake breweries, and see Takayama Jinya, the last remaining office from the Tokugawa Shogunate and the age of samurai.
